Watch Pete Whittaker climb Pure Now (E9) at Millstone, UK

The video of British climber Pete Whittaker making the second ascent of 'Pure Now' (E9 6c) at Millstone Edge, UK. The first ascent of this bold gritstone climb was carried out by Tom Randall in March 2014.

In mid-January Britain's Pete Whittaker made the long-awaited second ascent of Pure Now, the extremely bold E9 6c at Millstone Edge in England. The route climbs the first half of Ron Fawcett's Master's Edge, then breaks off right and follows a series of very thin and serious moves without any protection whatsoever.

The first ascent was carried out by Tom Randall in March 2014 and Whittaker, who knows Master's Edge like the back of his hand, made a few clean links of the upper section on toprope before his lead on his second session. Gritstone extreme at its finest.
