Watch Nicolai Užnik's brilliant flash attempt of La Force Tranquille at Magic Wood

The video of Austrian climber Nicolai Užnik's attempting to flash 'La Force Tranquille' 8C at Magic Wood, Switzerland.

It's hard to do closer to the send than this, and yet fail. A few days ago at Magic Wood in Switzerland Nicolai Užnik basically flashed La Force Tranquille, the 8C boulder established by Daniel Woods in 2011, but after dominating all the difficult moves, he fell from the finishing slab due to completely frozen fingers. As can been seen in the video, his heart-breaking attempt was beyond brilliant; the heel-hook at the start is super technical, matching on the tiny crimp as he did almost impossibile. The 25-year-old Austrian sent the problem straight off the next morning. His first 8C flash will have to wait, but by the looks of things, probably not for long.
