After a long break from the mountains, where he'd grown up thanks to his father Gianfranco, in 2013 Marco Sappa tokk up climbing again almost by chance. Ever since that day he has never stopped and the results are impressive to say the least.

One of the best routes that the aspirant mountain guide from Courmayeur, as well as psychologist and ski instructor, recently sent is Greenspit, the almost horizontal roof crack freed in 2005 by Didier Berthod up in Valle dell'Orco.

For years this line has served as an important benchmark for all those who love trad climbing, and for Sappa it represents both the end and the start of something new.
