In February 2022 French climber Camille Coudert repeated Soudain seul at Fontainebleau in France. Also known as Big island Assis, this boulder was established in February 2021 by Simon Lorenzi who graded it 9A, while Nico Pelorson after the first repeat two months later reckoned it warranted 8C+. Coudert, who invested somewhere in the region of 60 sessions for his send, believes it could be 9A as Lorenzi had originally suggested. Time will tell. Regardless of the grade, the fact of the matter is that it's an awesome boulder.
