"35 meters of Nirvana!" This is how Adam Ondra describes Solitary Souls, the 8c+ at Piazzole above Arco, bolted by Nico Favresse and freed by Alfredo Webber. Ondra climbed the route in March first go, on-sight, in just a matter of seconds, as if this performance were nothing particularly special. But it's world-class, and at present you can count on the fingers of one hand those who've succeeded in such a feat. While for the 29-year-old, a decade after his first 8c+ onsight, this now feels almost normal.
