Irrespective behaviour on behalf of climbers may result in access restrictions in Valle Verzasca, Switzerland.
Here we are once again, unfortunately, having to publish news about a climbing area in danger of receiving access restrictions. This time the appeal comes from Switzerland, more precisely from the splendid Valle Verzasca, where the climbers' behaviour had not gone down well with the local inhabitants.
As Fabio Cristina writes "there are two reasons which cause anger: climbers walking through the small hamlet close to the boulders and walking on the field which is used to create hay for the cows. To stop this area from being closed down, climbers must use the path which circumnavigates the hamlet and must not climb on the boulders which are located in the field."
Signposts will be erected shortly and we very much hope that this (simple) appeal will not fall on deaf ears.
