After starting this spring, Italian climbers Enrico Griotto and Alex Ostorero have now completed their new route high up in the granite Valle dell’Orco. Dedicated to Sole who was born in June, their Waiting for the sun behind the moon offers varied climbing up a series of slabs, cracks and corners. Pitch 2 offers a bombè roof which still need freeing - presumably at 7b - and this was breached using A0 aid. 5 bolts were placed on the pitches (2 on pitch 2 and 3 on the final pitch) while others were placed at the belays. The route faces south and thus the hot summer months are best avoided.
