Marco Zanone climbing Terminator, the 8a+ put up by Manolo in 1985
There are no two ways about it, Manolo's climbs are legendary. They all have their own history. Such as Terminator at the magician's home crag, Totoga. Manolo freed the line in 1985 and the difficulties were almost unheard of at the time. Hard 8a+, possibly even 8b. Terminator checked in as probably Italy's 8a+, certainly an important chapter in sport climbing history. Last spring the brothers Andrea and Marco Zanone travelled to the Dolomites to lay their hands on this line; here's what they got up to, documented in the first episode of Lines Of Legends directed by Yuri Palma.
