Daila Ojeda from Spain and Angela Eiter from Austria have been redpointing hard in Spain's Lleida area recently.

The former checked in with her third 8c, "Full Equip" at Oliana just the other day after having sent "Aitzol" at Margalef at the end of October and the stamina testpiece "Fish Eye" at Oliana in February.

Eiter for her part - after placing third in the Lead World Cup 2010 (won by Jain Kim from Korea while silver went to Mina Markovic from Slovenia) - travelled to Spain's Santa Linya where in between bouts of poor weather she managed to send "Ingravids Eskerps" 8c. As is so often the case in this mammoth cave the route has an extension and Eiter proved her post-injury form by sending this, too, adding another 8c/8c+ to her curriculum which boasts circa half-a dozen other routes in the 8c region.

With this form, the time may becoming ripe for some of the women to challenge the legendary Bereziartu hegemony which, even today, has few rivals!
