Harald Berger from Austria has just returned from the Rätikon mountain range on the Swiss/Austrian border where he has made the first ascent of "Antihydral", an old Rochus Mathis project which now goes free at 8b.

Berger, who last year repeated Beat Kammerlander's famous Silbergeier immediately to the right, stated that run-outs on the 6 pitch route are, true to the Rätikon credos, fairly run-out at times. The highlight of the route is without a doubt the two meter roof high up on the final pitch: "incredibly good holds, but t Mother Nature turned them all in the wrong direction, just to make sure it wouldn't go easier than 8a+."
