Erri De Luca climbs "Viaggio = infinito", 8b+

The 52 year old Erri De Luca climbs "Viaggio = infinito", 8b+ at the Grotta dell'Arenauta at Sperlonga

On 10/11/2002 the Italian climber Erri De Luca repeated "La Teoria dell'8a", a spectacular 8b+ that crosses the Grotta dell'Arenauta at Sperlonga. 20m long, the line was originally called "
Viaggio = infinito".

De Luca's ascent is only the sixth, and what makes it all the more impressive is the fact that Luca, better known as a journalist, is 52 years old! If that isn't motivation enough for all, let's not forget that Luca climbs without chalk!

Erri de Luca
Novelist, born in Naples in 1950. Has published the following books: Non ora, non qui (1989), Una nuvola come tappeto (1991), Aceto, Arcobaleno (1992), Tu, mio (1998), Tre cavalli (1999) e Montedidio (2001).
