| The future of Sardinia's most famous southern crags, Castello dell'Iride is uncertain as climbing has recently been forbidded by the town council. Local resident Flaviano Bessone has launched the following appeal to save the crag: "As a result of the town council order, which came about due to falling rock, to prohibit climbing at the famous Castello dell'Iride di Masua (Iglesias), without a doubt one of the best crags in all of Sardinia, the sports association "A Ca' da Pria" di Nebida (Iglesias), has initiated a dialogu with the Iglesias town counci to modify or annul this law. If you would like to support this initiative, please send an email to acadapria@iol.it, indicating "Save Castello dell'Iride" in the subject and sending a brief text, for example "Name and surname supports the initiative of the association "A Ca' da Pria" di Nebida to reopen the crag Castello dell'Iride di Masua (Iglesias) to climbers. Thanks in advance to all climbers who help save the crag!" Flaviano Bessone |
