Blocheads - a story about the golden age of British bouldering
Posing Productions

Bouldering has rapidly undergone a massive evolution, transforming in just a few decades from a niche activity into a mainstream sport that will showcase in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and that, at present, has peaked at the nigh incomprehensible grade of 9A. Never before have there been so many indoor walls, never before have so many climbers trained specifically for an activity that, not so long ago, was viewed as just a bit of fun outside the climbing hut, or as training for the mountains.

Starring the likes of Jerry Peel, Jerry Moffat, Dan Varian, Ricky Bell and Alex Waterhouse, Blocheads documents this upheaval, from the first recorded bouldering in the 19th century all the way to the present-day quest for new lines that push the limits of human ability.
