Bindhammer Big Hammer 9a first ascent
On 01/11/2005 Christian Bindhammer made the first ascent of "Big Hammer" 9a at the Pinswang, Austria and "Pandaemonium" 8c.
| Christian Bindhammer from Germany continues with his Leitmotif of hard repeats and hard first ascents. The 29 year old from Germany now reports a further two new first ascents at Pinswang, Austria, where on 01/11/2005 he redpointed "Big Hammer" 9a. While working on this project, he also made the first ascent of "Pandaemonium" 8c. Christian needed 11 days of work to send "Big Hammer" which he describes as follows "Up until now I've never come across a single move which requires so many different types of strength and such a complex sequence of moves." With repeats of routes such as Kinematix 9a (Georges du Loup/France, 2005), Action Directe 9a (Frankenjura/ Germany, 2003) Ground Zero 9a (Tetto di Sarre, Italy, 2002), Underground 9a (Massone, Italy, 2002) and first ascents such as Sakrileg 8c+ (Rottachberg, Germany, 2005) and Zauberfee 8c+ (Arco/ Italy, 2003) we'll just have to take his word for it!
