At the start of February British climber Adrian Berry made the first ascent of Britain's third E10, Blind Vision. Located at Derbyshire's gritsone outcrop Frogatt, the route first climbs Jerry Moffat's "Slingshot" boulder problem to a good ledge at half height, before continuing past poor gear to the top of the crag. Berry bouldered the Font 8a first section and, at the ledge, tied in to a harness thrown up by his belayers to tackle the technical and balancy F7c+ second half. Berry has proposed E10 7b for this latest creation. Congratulations! |
