| Stefano Alippi has repeated Les Sindacalistes, Cornalba's famous 8c+. As many no doubt know, this route is an integral part of Italy's sport climbing history; first climbed after 9 months of effort by Beppe Dallona way back in 1995, the 42 move route had to wait 6 years for it's first repeat, at the hands of Cristian Brenna. Alippi's needed about 35 attempts to redpoint the route which, as he states, tested his nerves to the extreme before his successful ascent: "This was the second time in my life that I had a real breakdown, and now I fully understand Dave Graham's words: “Biographie is the first route that blocked me psychologically”. I guarantee that it's truly frustrating to fall just two meters from the chain for the “n” time. Yes, it's true, that's where the crux is, but to get to that point isn't exactly easy and each time you fall you realise that you'll have to redo the entire sequence - it's terrible."
