St. Leger du Ventoux

The Italian Alberto Gnerro on-sighted and repeated a number of hard routes during two quick visits to St. Leger du Ventoux, Provence (22km east of Vaison and 26 km north of Sault).

In between bad weather spells on his first Easter trip he on-sighted Hilti blues 8a, Spit Blues 8a+ (Alberto believes this to be 8a) and Speed Bull 8b (which believes is 8a+) in just 1 1/2 hours.

On his second trip the “incredible Gnerro” on-sighted Le Placard 8b, Cool Frénésie 8a, Les épinards aux violettes 8a+ and Sault qui peut 8a (an “easy” 8a according to Alberto). Above all though he redpointed Le Mur des Six Ciclopes 8b second go, which after a broken hold in the crux, is now more like 8b+.

Well done Alberto!
