Some routes arouse emotions more than others. One of these is certainly Action Directe, the super route in the Frankenjura freed by Wolfgang Güllich twenty years ago and which, in these two decades, has become a symbol and vision which continues to fuel the dreams of climbers worldwide.

One of the few who have managed to realise this dream was Italian Gabriele Moroni when in April 2010 he managed to send this incredible overhanging mix of monodoigts and two-finger pockets. Now there's the video which documents his ascent and traces the origins of this route which, we're certain, will continue to provoke excitement for a long time yet!
