Ice climbing in Colorado? Vail immediately springs to mind, with routes such as Octopussy (the world's first M8, freed by Jeff Lowe in 1994) and Will Gadd's Amphibian and Reptile to name just three of the most famous. Another important line in the canyon is Red Bull and Vodka, a massive mixed outing which climbs steep terrain to join the immaculate The Fang. Sam Elias shows how in the video below.
