New ice and mixed climb up Cima Paganella, Brenta Dolomites

On a nice sunny day, Simone while guiding clients along the Via Ferrata delle Aquile noticed a drip on the opposite mountain. It seemed climbable and still in condition, only the first section had no ice. What followed were the obligatory photos and phone call. What should we do? Give it a look tomorrow? Of course! OK, see you in the morning!

Beneath a grey, cloudy sky and accompanied by some snowflakes (a sign of good luck) we established Lato B, a pleasant outing up Cima della Paganella. B side offers 100m of dry tooling and good sections of ice, a mere 20 minutes walk downhill from Rifugio la Roda. And seeing that the Paganella pistes are perfectly groomed, why not combine the route with a great ski?
