Let’s face it: the Austrian alpinist has been through thick and thin, with his ascents, successes, tumbles and falls. His historic free solo of via Attraverso il Pesce in Marmolada in 2007 opened the doors to his biggest dream: follow the call of the mountains, every single day of the year. But the doubt remains and, as can be seen in this insight, there is no clear answer to the question.
