Nick Fowler onsight solos Yosemite's Tangerine Trip A2 5.8, in just under 15 hours 53 minutes
El Capitan's Tangerine Trip has recently been soloed by Nick Fowler in just 15 hours and 53 minutes. This classic eighteen-pitch A2 5.8 is usually climbed in 2-5 days, and Fowler's lightening-fast 24 October ascent is all the more remarkable as he onsighted the entire line.

First climbed by C. Porter and J. de St. Croix in 1973, the Tangerine Trip is one of the more direct mixed aid lines up the imposing southeast face, and Fowler's climb could well be, as Valley expert Hans Florine puts it, "the first onsight solo in a day of any El Cap route?!"
