Giuseppe Vidoni completes solo winter ascent on Matterhorn From 4-6 March 2026, Giuseppe Vidoni made a winter solo ascent of the combo 'Padre Pio' and 'Une Échelle Vers le Ciel' on the south face of the Matterhorn. The report from the 31-year-old Italian mountain guide, who had not climbed these routes before.
