On 8 March 2026 Philipp Brugger and lukas waldner made the first single day winter ascent of all three North Pillars of Piz Palü (3899m) in the Bernina Alps of Switzerland. The Austrian alpinists enchained the Bumiller Pillar, East Pillar and Spinas Pillar in 8 hours and 59 minutes.

On 20/01/2026 Austrian alpinists Martin Sieberer and lukas waldner completed the first winter ascent of 'Schutzengelweg' on the North Face of Sagwandspitze in the Valsertal valley in Tyrol, Austria. First ascended in summer 1982 by Andreas Orgler and Reinhard Schiestl, this is the first known repeat in 34 years.

Italian mountaineer Tomas Franchini reports about the first ascent of the virgin Shaue Sar (6653m) in Karakorum, Pakistan, first ascended on 27/05/2022 with Philipp Brugger and lukas waldner. Franchini also soloed the unclimbed peaks Gypsy Sar (5810m) and Croz von Zartgurben (4650m).
