Piolets d'Or 2025 announces list of Significant First Ascents The organisers of the Piolet d’Or mountaineering award have published the 'big list' of most significant and innovative climbs carried out in 2024. The honoured ascents will receive the Piolets d'Or 2025 award from 9 - 12 December 2025 during the celebration at San Martino di Castrozza (Italy).

'Mona Lisa' added to Monte Gallo in Sicily berni rivadossi and Giorgio Consiglio, helped by Ale Zaina and Max Faletti, have established 'Mona Lisa', a new multipitch sports climb on Monte Gallo on the outskirts of Palermo in Sicily.
