Daniel Rönnbäck and Tero Repo share first place at Click on the Mountain

The 2014 edition of the Killer Loop Click on the Mountain couldn’t have been more exciting. Deep fresh snow, helicopters and some of the best snowboarders and freeskiers shot by internationally renown photographers on the incredible terrain of Courmayeur. The four photographers had 72 hours to shoot 20 high quality photos of their team of snowboarders and freeskiers making the most of the amazing conditions in the Mt Blanc area. Seven judges from throughout Europe spent hours deliberating over the amazing portfolios. "The quality of riding and photography was easily the highest we have ever seen at Click on the Mountain" said head judge Basti Huber, "all the photographers and their teams did so well, it was really difficult to find a clear winner, particularly in the overall category."

After a screening of the event video, cut in record time by master editor Sean Balmer, all the portfolios were showed to the competitors and spectators before the winners were announced. The judges couldn’t declare a clear winner in the overall category, so a split pot of the € 4000 grand prize was decided, a bonus for both winners.

THE WINNERS:
Overall Category: Tie between Daniel Rönnbäck – with Jacob Wester, Tof Henry, Filippo Mairate and Alberto Boschiazzo & Tero Repo – with Sam Cohen, Roland Morley- Brown, Giacomo Rey and Jimmy Sesana.

Best Snowboard Photo
: Tim Lloyd – with Loic Deschamp, Mathieu Imbert, Francesco Brutto und Andrea Plat

Best Ski Photo
: Marius Schwager – with Tobias Huber, Sebastian Friesl, Jean Chiementin and Rudy Buccella

Tim and Marius both won a full Pocket Wizard set up for their amazing ski and snowboard photos. A special mention from the judges of Daniel Rönnbäck’s creative double exposure awarded the Swede with a photo bag set up from Killer Loop; he was stoked "Wow! So happy – we were working hard to get everything done, but in the end it was all about having fun with friends in an amazing setting!" Tero Repo echoed the sentiment: "I’m really happy about this result, it was such a great time in the Courmayeur Mont Blanc area".

The 2014 Killer Loop Click on the Mountain was a grand success, all the photographers walked away with prizes and everyone went home with a smile knowing that they scored epic snow, got great shots and made some new friends at this unique event. It’s safe to say that everyone is already looking forward to next year’s event.
