Janja Garnbret and Romain Desgranges win at Villars in Switzerland The first stage of the Lead World Cup 2017 was won on Saturday 8 July by Janja Garnbret and Romain Desgranges. The third stage of the Speed World Cup was won the previous evening by Anouck Jaubert and Reza Alipourshenazandifar.

Europe's top climbers converge in Italy's Val di Fassa The IFSC European Climbing Championship (Lead and Speed) wil take place from 29 June - 1 July 2017 at Campitello di Fassa in Italy's Val di Fassa. Over 150 athletes will compete, with favourites for the lead title including Romain Desgranges, Stefano Ghisolfi , Adam Ondra and Domen Škofic.

Jain Kim, Adam Ondra, Mariia Krasavina and Qixin Zhong all win in China The sixth stage of the IFSC Lead World Cup took place in Wujiang, China, last weekend and was won by Jain Kim from Korea and Adam Ondra from the Czech Republic. The Speed Climbing World Cup came to a close and was won by Mariia Krasavina and Qixin Zhong.
