From 20 - 30 July 2017 Wrocław (Breslavia) in Poland hosted the 10th World Games. More than 35,800 athletes competed in the 2017 edition dedicated to 36 different sports, including sport climbing with its three disciples Lead, Speed and Boulder.

The IFSC European Climbing Championship (Lead and Speed) wil take place from 29 June - 1 July 2017 at Campitello di Fassa in Italy's Val di Fassa. Over 150 athletes will compete, with favourites for the lead title including Romain Desgranges, Stefano Ghisolfi , Adam Ondra and Domen Škofic.

The first stage of the Bouldering World Cup 2017 was won on Saturday, April 8 at Meiringen in Switzerland by Britain’s Shauna Coxsey and Japan’s Kokoro Fujii.

A mixed team of climbers from Montenegro and serbia, comprised of Nikola Đurić, Dušan Branković, Dušan Starinac, Danilo Pot and Ivan Laković, recently climbed the two highest frozen waterfalls in Montenegro: Strast (WI5+, 150m) and Mali zec (WI4, 150m) in the Tara canyon close to Dobrilovina. Youth A (Under 18): Yoshiyuki Ogata from Japan and Janja Garnbret from Slovenia. Juniors: Jongwon Chon from South Korea and Stasa Gejo from serbia.

The European Boulder Youth Championships 2014 concluded today at Arco (Garda Trentino, Italy). Youth B was won by Slovenia's Janja Garnbret and Matic Kotar. Youth A was won by Austria's Franziska Sterrerand Switzerland's Baptiste Ometz. The Juniors category was won by Austria's Jessica Pilz and Germany's David Firnenburg.

The 8th Rock Junior in Arco was a triumph of the game of climbing. Once again this is an unmissable event for youth climbing and for the hundreds of youngsters who, with their parents, assaulted the Climbing Stadium.
