The 2023 Sport Climbing World Championships begin today in Bern, Switzerland. The event will award world titles in Boulder, Lead, Speed and Paraclimbing, also distribute the first batch of 10 Olympic quota places for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

The combined world championship is currently taking place at Hachioji in Japan and as a result of the qualfiers, the first athletes to qualify for Sport Climbing taking part in the summer Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 have already been decided.

On Friday 31/08/2012 during the VII edition of the Arco Rock Legends Sasha DiGiulian won the Salewa Rock Award, while Anna Stöhr received the La Sportiva Competition Award. Stefan Glowacz was awarded with the Climbing Ambassador by Aquafil prize.
