Planetmountain pauses today in solidarity with the people of Gaza and the Global Sumud Flotilla

Following the interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters by the State of Israel and the conditions faced by the civilian population in Gaza, Planetmountain.com is joining the national strike called for today in Italy.
Just as on September 22nd, the website will therefore not be updated until tomorrow. We are joining many other realities in our vertical world - publishing houses, climbing gyms, alpine guides, and other mountain professionals - in this symbolic, collective, and peaceful gesture to express our solidarity with the unbearable suffering of the Palestinian people.
Below are the words we've borrowed off Hervé Barmasse, which he published 10 days ago when the Palestinian flag flew on the summit of the Matterhorn. They are simply perfect.
"If we cannot find the strength to stop a genocide - today recognized even by the United Nations - it is all of humanity that is at risk. Because in a future not too distant, someone might once again decide, out of interest or madness, who must be sacrificed: a minority, a people, a religion, a culture. But every time the right to exist is denied to someone, it is not only they who are struck: it is all of humanity, our freedom, and the dignity of us all. And it is in that moment that we truly cease to exist."
