The magical Opening Ceremony marks the official start of the IFSC Climbing World Championship competitions: all delegations will parade through the centre of Arco and reach the Climbing Stadium for the official protocol and the spectacle “Born to Rock”.
Nature’s elements and the athlete’s attributes combine to forge rock and perfect athletes:
FIRE – WATER - AIR: rock
POWER – SPEED – GRACE: climber
Physicality, dance, acrobatics, live music and videos dialogue with the surroundings, sensations and visions abound and the wall becomes the main focus as it changes form through the images, colour and the beat of the music.
The wizard’s energy dominates the elements to mould the rock. Fire, water and air combine to create a perfect score, a key to propitiatory climbing carried out by two exceptional athletes, Lynn Hill and François Legrand, who will climb to light the flame.
The spectacle and the music has been created specially for the Arco World Championship. An unmissable event.
