World Youth Climbing Championships: during the Male Boulder Semifinal Youth B, Filip Schenk

Category Youth B
Italy’s Filip Schenk and America’s Ashima Shiraishi won the Youth B Semifinale. Schenk’s teammate David Piccolruaz made an impressive comeback to finish third, and is joined in tomorrow’s final by Juan Diego Romero Salguedo (Col), Lukas Franckaert (Bel), Keita Dohi (Jpn) e Nikolai Michurov (Rus). Shiraishi will compete against: Vita Lukan (Slo), Elena Krasovskaia (Rus), Brooke Raboutou (Usa), Urska Repusic (Slo), Natalia Grossman (Slo).

Category Youth A
Slovenia’s Janja Garnbret climbed convincingly to qualify for the final in the Youth A category, beating local climber Asja Gollo, second. They are joined by Margo Hayes (Usa), Grace McKeehan (Usa), Johanna Färber (Aut) and Charlotte Andre (Fra). The male final is comprised of : Yoshiyuki Ogata (Jpn), Jules Nicouleau Bourles (Fra), Shawn Raboutou (Usa), Kai Harada (Jpn), Hugo Parmentier (Fra) and Arnaud Ansion (Bel).

Juniors
A difficult, fought-out battle resulted in the following: Jongwon Chon - the only athlete to send all 4 problems, followed by America’s Nathaniel Coleman, France’s Nicolas Pelorson, Slovenia’s Anze Peharc, Russia’s Sergei Skorodumov and Japan’s Tomoa Narasaki. In the female semis the following qualified for tomorrow’s final: Miho Nonaka (Jpn), Stasa Gejo (Sbr), Jessica Pilz (Aut), Julija Kruder (Slo) and Margaux Pucheux (Fra).
