Ultra-Trail du Mt. Blanc marathon
On 31/08 the Nepalese Sherpa Daichhiri won the 150 km Mont Blanc marathon.
On 30 - 31 Agust more than 600 skyrunners gathered in Chamonix for the International Ultra-Trail Tour du Mont-Blanc, the gruelling 150km marathon that crosses 10 mountain passes through France, Italy and Switzerland. The athletes had to climb 7420m, stopping off at two intermediate arrivals: Courmayeur, after 67 Km and 3750m height gain, and Champex-Lac, in Switzerland, after 110 km and 5570m height gain. The competition was won by the Nepalese Sherpa Daichhiri running for Team Fila in 20h05:58.6, more than two hours ahead of second placed Gaylord Topher (The North Face) and third placed Sybrowsky Brandon. ![]()
