Rock Master International Boulder Open: the qualifiers!

Those who have qualified for the Rock Master 2012 Bouldering final are Jure Becan from Slovenia, Stefan Scarperi from Italy, Maurizio Huerta from Mexico and Jernej Kruder from Slovenia. The four female qualifers are Olga Iakovleva from Russia, Valery Kremer from Israel, Annalisa De Marco from Italy and Alizée Dufraisse from France.

Everyone knew that today wouldn’t be easy… and this really proved to be the case. But when the going gets tough, the boulderers get going. And this is exactly what the climbers did during the Open round of the Rock Master Boulder, which gave the best 4 male and female athletes the right to proceed to Sunday’s Rock Master Boulder. What lay in store was a marathon of 8 boulder problems and this in itself would have been a magnificent challenge, even without the incessant rain which rendered the outcome even more exciting… In any case the 13 female athletes and 18 male athletes certainly gave it their very best in this beautiful, heated competition.
