| The first ever Quebec Cup took place in Canada this January and February. Promoted by kayland, this Cup got underway in Boloeil on 26 January, and was followed by Rivière-du-Loup on 1-2 February, Québec on 8 February, to finish at the Festival du Pic à Glace at Trois-Rivières on the 16th. Martin Lajoie won all four stages to take overall vicotry in the men's event, while Myriam St-Louis fared only slightly worse with three victories. The event was organised by Yannick Girard, representative of Kayland and Jean-Philippe Villemaire, technical director of the Festiglace The North Face du Québec.
