On Saturday night Stockholm staged the third edition of the La Sportiva Legends Only, the invitational bouldering competition for a handful of the world's strongest boulderers. This year's line-up was comprised of Jan Hojer, Nalle Hukkataival, Sean McColl, Alexander Megos, Dmitry Sharafutdinov and James Webb or, to put it in other words, the world's first 9a onsight, the three-times Bouldering World Champion and countless 8C boulder problems between them. In short, the best of the best.

The competition formula was simple: 4 outlandishly difficult problems and, to even stand a chance of sending them, a 3-hour work session on Friday before the actual competition on Saturday night. The team of Swedish route setters led by the France's Melissa Le Neve created four very different problems that ranged in difficulty from 8A+ to 8C and these were said to be the hardest ever set in a competition to date. America's James Webb stole the show and proved a real revelation, at least here in Europe as this was his first international competition, but his win was absolutely justified seeing that his climbing curriculum already includes five 8B flashes. Dmitry Sharafutdinov placed second, Jan Hojer third. The event was watched by a massive crowd of spectators and in live streaming with peaks of over 2000 people at the same time.
