| Sardinia's sports climbing potential is no secret, and the the Comune of Domusnovas organised a meeting a few days ago to promote the Iglesiente area, its 600 routes and the enormous San Giovanni cave. The event attracted 30 teams who competed in an endurance event, and although some of Italy's biggest names took part - Manolo, Rolando Larcher and Cristoph Hainz to name but a few -the atmosphere was informal and a celebration of 20 years climbing development in Sardinia.
