It's well noted that this ice bolder event is the athlete's favorite competition - and here's confirmation from two of the biggest in the World Cup Circuit, Ines Papert and Harald Berger.

"I really like the boulder comp in Valle di Daone, because every climber has a chance to climb to the limit - if you climb out of bounds, you can start again. So every climber is totaly tired at the end of the comp- that's what I like. And I enjoy meeting the climbers in the circuit, making new friends, traveling together."

Harald Berger
Austrian, winner of the IWC 2002 together with Dimitri Bytchkov, 3rd in Valle di Daone in 2002, 2nd in the first stage of the IWC 2003 in Pitztal.
"IÂ´ll compete in Valle Daone, in one of the best competitions IÂ´ve ever done. Iceclimbing has undergone a change and this could be seen in Pitztal. I canÂ´t want to climb on this awesome structure in Daone."
