The Italian and the International Federation of Sport Climbing (FASI, IFSC) has organize a climbing event to take place on October 7th 2012 in Saint Peter's, the Vatican.

Sport climbing is in the "short list" for Olympic Games 2020. The social and human projects are very important both for FASI and IFSC . The federations manage climbing and paraclimbing. The integration of these two categories is very good, also because the competition areas are the same. We achieved the maximum in Arco 2011, during the First Paraclimbing and Climbing World Championship, where the paraclimbers and the climbers competed in the same areas and in the same moments.
In the climbing village there will also be an area for Africa Climbing with the project started in Burkina Faso, in collaboration with the NGO ACRA. We hope that San Pietro will be the ideal location for our solidarity projects.
The program is the follows:
-9,00 International speed climbing exhibition
-10,00 Italian Championship Paraclimbing
-12,00 Angelus with the greetings of the Pope to the Climbing Federations
-15,00 Youth speed competition
-18,00 Awards ceremony and greetings of authorities.
