The third stage of the World Cup Difficulty was won on Monday by Alexandre Chabot from France and Muriel Sarkany from Belgium. Tomas Mrazek placed second, while Sylvain Millet placed third. in the women's event Muriel Sarkany , back in the limelight after her forfeit in the European Championship in Lecco, beat young contenders Angela Eiter from Austria and Alexandra Eyer from Switzerland. The European Champions Ramon Julian Puigblanque and Bettina SchÃ¶pf placed 4th and 10th respectively.

The competition was marked by a significant number of tops: in the men's qualification 15 athletes topped out, while in the women's qualification 17 topped out. reaching he final hold in the men's semifinal was necessary to qualify for the final, and 11 athletes did just this. A somewhat different story in the women's semifinal, where only 4 athletes topped out, and the Final, which was climbed completely by only Sarkany. For the record: the weather, as usual, was terrible but the downpours did not discourage the large crowd who watched the exciting final.
