While most 9b's, 9b+ and 9c's nowadays are fairly long outings, Excalibur bucks the trend and is short, incredibly intense and extremely powerful. The fierce project bolted at Drena by Cristian Dorigatti and Morris Fontanari climbs a clean-cut, 40° wall and is speculated to be somewhere in the region of 9b+, possibly even harder. So far it has seen off attempts by the likes of local Stefano Ghisolfi, Jakob Schubert and also Adam Ondra. Here's how the Czech got on a few months ago.
