The Verdon Gorge is a gift that keeps on giving. This October, on it's Rive Gauche, Frenchmen Olivier Dutel and Nicolas Potard established a difficult multi-pitch called La Fiesta de los Metallos. The new route takes a 210m line to the right of Electoraux chocs and was bolted from above. It is described by the duo as a "must climb" in the Gorge but, with difficulties up to 8b, is no doubt something reserved to a select few. The first free ascent was carried out by Potard together with Martina Cufar.
