A journey all the way down to the "heel" of Italy, to discover the (unexpected) beauties of Italian climbing. This video by Pietro Bagnara documents the recent Ragni di Lecco climbing trip to Salento and shows why this is such a great place for climbing. The trip is a part of the club's project to help the development of rock climbing in southern Italy and together with some local climbers a host of new routes were added to the Ciolo canyon and two new sectors were established at "La Mannuta". The setting, wedged between the fantastic sea and elusive cliffs, is fabulous. The climbing beautiful. Just like the music of this video, reminiscent of these southern lands which are certainly worth knowing and falling in love with.
