For decades America’s Steph Davis continuously pushed the limits of female climbing, becoming the first woman to make a free ascent of both Freerider and Salathé Wall on El Capitan in Yosemite, repeating and establishing new climbs from Patagonia all the way to Pakistan, and making significant free solo ascents.

At a certain moment in her life she reached a turning point, finding in BASE jumping and wingsuit flying her new form of freedom. Unfortunately these new passions were accompanied by great loss; in 2013 her husband Mario Richard died while making a BASE jump with her from Sass Pordoi in the Italian Dolomites. The short film Choices, directed by Teresa Hoerl, delves into the past and present of Davis.
