Compared to many other climbing films out there, Carpet of Memories directed by Franz Walter offers a vision and a rhythm that is decidedly different. The short film documents the first ascent of Azazar - the route put up by Ines Papert, Lisi Steurer and Patrik Aufdenblatten on the SW Face of Tadrarate in Morocco's Taghia Gorge - narrated not from a climber's point of view but from that of a local berber who asks himself what these climbers have come in search for in his valley in the High Atlas mountain range.
