Iron Moon, for which I put forward the grade 8c+/9a, is currently the hardest route at the crag Frosolone and throughout Molise. For what I know, it’s also the hardest route sent by a climber from Southern Italy.

The climb is a variation to De la terre a la lune (a project bolted by B. Lamaire) and it finishes up the last two bolts of L’era del ferro (another 9+ project, bolted by Mauro Calibani and Giorgio Ferretti). The name is easily explained therefore as it’s a combination of these two routes.
