Pietro Radassao makes first ascent of Frosolone Re Kaioh 8c+
At the crag Colle dell'Orso in Frosolone (Italy) Pietro Radassao has made the first scent of Re Kaioh, a possible 8c+.

"A letter or a + are worth little, a climb however remains indelible, carved into the rock." Bearing this in mind, in mid-September Italian sports climber Pietro Radassao decided to put forward the grade 8c+ for Re Kaioh, a connection of various existing routes at Frosolone. When this video was filmed the line was still a project, but now it’s a reality waiting for future repeats. Just like Ultimo Viaggio con Caronte, Radassao’s first 8c freed in 2015 at Frosolone, still waiting for grade confirmation.
For the record, Radassao’s August 2017 creation Iron Moon was repeated and its 8c+/9a grade confirmed in December 2017 by another strong climber from Campobasso, Emilio Silvaroli who at the time was just 18 years old.
