Pian dei Fiacconi is situated in a breathtaking position the foot of the Marmolada glacier, on the west face of Sass de la Doudecs, with a marvellous panorama onto the Sella and Sassolungo mountain groups.
The crag is located at 2600m and is comprised of rough, compact limestone which offers excellent climbing up small pockets and edges. The climbing is is reminiscent of that on the legendary South Face of the Marmolada and despite the crag being far smaller and bolted, the feeling you get is similar to climbing in a typical alpine environment.
