At the start of the 1980s, one of the early icons of sport climbing was undoubtedly Patrick Edlinger, the handsome French climber nicknamed Le Blond. Climbing high above the Verdon Gorge, his gestures captured the imagination of more than just one generation of climbers. He, one of climbing’s first true "rock stars", is the focus of the second episode of La Sportiva's Climbing Sparkling Moments.
