Six months for 15 moves. This is the commitment needed for Ignacio Sánchez González, better known as Nacho Sanchez, to free his project Cthulhu at Arnao in Spain's Asturias. The problem is comprised of 10 difficult moves, of which the sixth is an "explosive move from a crimp to a flat rail", to then finish up an easy mantle.

Finding the right conditions was not easy - the boulder is located right at the seafront - and even though there aren't too many other problems in the immediate vicinity, according to Sanchez the quality of the rock is exceptional. The 31-year-old climber has suggested 8C and this problem joins his other creations such as Entropia 8C at Castillo de Bayuela, Insomnio 8C and Crisis 8C/+, all located at Crevillente.
